Can I take my athlete to and from sports games?
We encourage all athletes to ride the bus to and from games. However, parents are permitted to sign their student out with the coach.
How much is the athletic fee?
The athletic fee is $75 for the first student, and then $25 for each additional student.
Do athletes have to be enrolled in athletic period?
To participate in Life School sports you must be enrolled in the athletic period. Athletes stay in the athletic period the entire school year to improve skill, strength and speed.
Can an athlete earn a varsity letter?
The varsity letter will be awarded to an athlete who satisfies the participation requirements outlined in our Student Athletic Handbook. The athletic handbook is located on our athletic websites. Life School will pay for the jacket. Families pay for any additional customizations.
Can my child play multiple sports?
Is my child guaranteed to make the team if they are in the athletics period?
Can my child transfer out of athletics to PE?
We do not allow students to transfer out of athletics and switch to PE except for extenuating circumstances.
What is the difference between Physical Education and Athletics?
To participate in Life School sports you must be enrolled in the athletic period. PE students will not be allowed to participate in Life School sports. Athletes stay in the athletic period the entire school year to improve skill, strength and speed.
What does my child need on the first day of athletics?
Your child should have completed the online paperwork, completed a physical (both sides completed and must be on form provided by the school), paid the $75 athletic fee, and have an athletic uniform.
When will [sport] tryouts be?
Tryout dates vary by campus each year. For any campuses that hold tryouts for sports you can contact the campus athletic coordinator. Life School offers a wide range of sports. Specific sports vary by campus.
Do students need to complete a physical before playing sports?
Students are required to receive a physical each school year between June 1 and before the first day of school. Each High School/Middle School offers a discounted physical night in May which counts for the following school year. Students should also complete the athletic forms.
